Here's a card I made for Mothers Day using the Sugar Nellie 'Carefree' stamp and LetrasetTria markers to shade it. I was sooo pleased with the stamp as it is just so versatile for many occasions.
Hope you like it!

I was in the middle of photographing this card when my son decided he wanted to get his toy in the photo and smudged the card slightly by knocking it.

Anyway - I made this by drawing the leprechaun and colouring in with sakura gelly roll pens. I then tore round the edges to give an aged looked - and coloured in with felt pens. I then covered the card in ripped pieces of mulberry paper in various green shades. I then stamped the ‘lucky to have you’ message and made a tag. I then attached a flower and put a rub-on on top to give the message ‘St Patricks Day’ and stamped and embossed clovers all over the card and put more rub on’s on the back of the card.

I am going to give this card to my mum as she has been such a help to me lately after the birth of my second son. Also she has just finished doing a family history course and found she has lots of irish ancestors - so this will be very appropriate.

This card is based on a card from the Crafts Beautiful 'Cupcakes and Cards' booklet. But I decided to give it my own little twist. I used the free backing paper that came with the magazine and adhesive ribbon. I then tried to give it a 3d look by using the DCWV ‘Sweet’ rub ons as background and then stamped the cupcakes using the 'Hero Arts cupcakes stamps' and placed them on foam pads. To continue with the 3d look I coloured them in with Marvy Le Plume pens and then built the colour up with Sakura stardust pens and put the candle on and drew over it with the stardust pens to make it look as if it was really stuck in the cake. I edged the blue glitter card behind with ink to make it have a distressed look.
